About Brantford

Brantford is known as the Telephone City because Alexander Graham Bell developed the telephone at his family’s homestead just outside the city. Wilfrid Laurier University has a Brantford campus, and the city is home to the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts.

Highway 403 runs along the city. The Six Nations of the Grand River reserve, the largest First Nations reserve in Canada by population, lies just to the south.
