Leamington is widely known for its greenhouse industry and as the southernmost municipality in mainland Canada. The town is the gateway to Point Pelee National Park, Canada's southernmost mainland point and a famous bird-migration site.
Highway 3 (the Talbot Trail) connects east-west through Leamington. The ferry to Pelee Island and Sandusky, Ohio departs from the harbour.
Downtown Leamington around Talbot Street, the Erie Street greenhouse area, the harbour and Seacliff Park, and the Wheatley area to the east are the town's notable parts.
