Oakville has a well-preserved 19th-century downtown around Lakeshore Road and a long shoreline of harbours, beaches, and parks along Lake Ontario. The town is home to Sheridan College's main campus and a Ford assembly plant.

Geography & Major Routes

The Queen Elizabeth Way and Highways 403 and 407 cross Oakville. The Lakeshore West GO line stops at Oakville and Bronte stations.
